Day 1 Tropea – Stromboli.
Boat briefing. Morning departure to Stromboli, travel time 4h30m, distance 32 nautical miles.
Arrival at Stromboli in the afternoon. Opportunity to swim and snorkel on a small beach and take a walk in the village of San Vincenzo. At sunset tour of the island and stop under the famous “Sciara del Fuoco” to watch the perpetual eruptions of the active volcano. Return to St. Vincent and possibility to go ashore for dinner or spend some free time, alternatively it is possible to have dinner on board and overnight stay.
Stromboli, the northernmost island in the archipelago, is the highest point of a large active volcano that lies underwater. The island has only two population centers: the main town with the picturesque villages of San Vincenzo and San Bartolomeo, whose white houses lean against the slopes of the volcano’s lower crater; and Ginostra, a small village on the southeastern side of the island, accessible only by sea. Stromboli’s beautiful and picturesque beaches are famous for their black sand and rocks that stand out against the crystal clear sea.
Day 2 Stromboli-Vulcano-Lipari
Departure from Stromboli around 11am, arrival at Vulcano around 2:15pm. Distance 27 nautical miles, sailing time 3h15min.
Vulcano, legendary site of the god of the winds ” Eolo “. Here you have the opportunity to bathe in the hot springs on the beach and relax in the spa with its famous therapeutic properties. You can also take an interesting hike to the active crater “Gran Crater” of Vulcano. During the easy ascent, you will explore a surreal world of fumaroles, crystals and sulfur flowers and enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands.
Depart Vulcano at about 5:30 pm, arrive in Lipari at about 6 pm. Distance 3.9 nautical miles, sailing time 30 min.
Lipari is the largest Island in the Aeolian archipelago, with a great historic center and a wonderful museum. Here you can stay overnight in the Port to visit the town with its many narrow streets, go shopping and taste typical Sicilian cuisine in small restaurants.
Day 3 Lipari-Panarea-Tropea
Departure from Lipari at about 08:30, arrival in Panarea at about 10:10. Distance 12 nautical miles, sailing time 1h40min
Panarea, known as the “VIP Island,” is the smallest but also the most famous of the archipelago. Its wild charm, with its vegetation of bougainvillea, hibiscus, prickly pears and capers, but also the wonderful beaches, reachable almost exclusively by boat, will enchant you. You can visit the Prehistoric Village on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea, dive into the wonderful Panarea sea, and explore the fantastic seabed by snorkeling.
