Zambrone
Long white beach, on one side you can see the crystal clear sea, on the other side the darkgreen hills. For us it is one of the most beautiful destinations especially for those who want a relaxing holiday as well as for families with small children. In Zambrone you find many new hotel buildings which offer full board and animation as well as apartments which allow you to design your vacation individually. There you also find supermarkets, restaurants, bars and small shops. Zambrone is situated 5 km in the nord of Tropea and offers a beautiful view on the historical centre of Tropea.

Parghelia
One long sand beach and some small bays which are private. There you also find the luxury hotels like “Porto Pirgos” but also other villages, pensions and Bed & Breakfasts. The touristic harbour of Tropea is situated very closely and also the historical centre of Tropea can be reached after just 2 km. Parghelia is a small village of fishermen, but in the centre you find also restaurants, shops, supermarkets and bars.

Tropea

Baia di Riaci

About 2 km from Tropea you find the Baia di Riaci which is very famous between the young people, especially because of the proximity to Tropea and also for the famous italian night life: in the evening the beach Old Well gets transformed in an open-air disco with famous DJs and many beach parties.

Formicoli
(S. Domenica di Ricadi)
Formicoli is a silent beach even if it is quite haunted especially in August. About 300 metres from the coast you find rocks which reach out of the water. This series of rocks is called Formicoli and it’s said that these remain from an antique roman port. There it is really interesting to go diving or snorkeling or just to stay in the warm sun. Molto interessante fare diving o snorkeling o solo godersi il sole caldo.

Capo Vaticano
Blue and crystal clear water, white sand beaches and fantastic formations out of rocks. Small bays like “Praia di Fuoco” where you arrive only with the boat and long white sand beaches like on the beach of “Grottichelle” or “del Tono”. From the lighthouse of Capo Vaticano you can enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view. From there you see the whole coast, the Aeolian Islands and the strait of Messina.
Grotticelle
One of the most known and most photographed beach of the area is called Grotticelle. Beautiful beach with very fine sand and a very clean sea from where you can see rocks of different sizes.
